The costs of running our program are always more than our entry fees will cover. The additional funds that we receive help us to keep these fees at a minimum. Our costs includes course fees, salaries for our supervisors (minimum wage), wages for the PGA professionals who conduct our clinics, medals which the golfers compete for within their flights each week, end of the year trophies for each flight, office supplies, printing, mailing, and a scholarship fund.

Anyone interested in making a donation to our program whether personal or corporate may notify me directly by sending an email to info@flintjuniorgolf.org.

We are very proud of the support we receive and recognize our sponsors:

Buick Motor Division

Buick's involvement is primarily financial. Buick also sponsors the Buick Open, which FJGA players can attend on the day when PGA players hold a clinic and exhibition for junior golfers.

Coca Cola Company

King Par Golf

The Flint Journal

The Flint Journal, which was in a very large part responsible for the beginning of this program over 60 years ago (Willis "Speed" Oldfield), does many things for the program. Twice during the year they publish the starting times, listing everyone's name: once on the Friday before our play begins and again on the Friday before the end-of-the-year tournament. Each day after our play, The Flint Journal's coverage is tremendous. There is usually a terrific photo of a young golfer, a story, and results from all groups. The list of starting times and these results pages usually take up one full page of the paper.
